ABOUT WILSTOCKHUB

Wilstockhub – Building a Stronger Community Together

The Wilstockhub trustees, all dedicated volunteers, have given countless hours of their time, energy and commitment to turn a shared vision into reality. Together, we have worked tirelessly to create a community hub designed around the needs of local people—a welcoming place where everyone can come together, access essential services, discover new opportunities and improve their health and wellbeing.

Our journey began over ten years ago with a simple but ambitious dream: to create a lasting community asset that would support people of all ages and backgrounds. Through determination, perseverance and the incredible support of our community, partners and funders, that dream is now becoming a reality.

After securing £2.7 million in funding, construction of the Wilstockhub building is nearing completion, with handover anticipated in early October 2026. To say we are excited is an understatement. Once we receive the keys, our focus will turn to preparing the building for its grand opening—a milestone we cannot wait to celebrate with our community. The official opening date will be announced soon.

As we transition from construction to community impact, we are working closely with a wide range of partners to develop services, activities and opportunities that reflect the needs and aspirations of our community. These include:

  • Health, mental health and wellbeing services
  • Nature-based activities and gardening projects
  • A sensory garden and biodiversity initiatives
  • Children’s, young people’s and family programmes, including Little Nature Folk
  • Volunteering opportunities and community participation
  • Arts, creativity, learning and skills development
  • Neighbourhood health services and community support

We are especially passionate about ensuring young people can access opportunities that build confidence, develop skills and help prepare them for a positive future.

Wilstockhub will be a place where relationships are built, isolation and loneliness are reduced, and people feel connected, valued and supported. We are equally committed to improving digital inclusion, strengthening communications and embracing technology to ensure everyone can access the opportunities and services available.

As the hub begins to welcome people through its doors and our programmes grow, we look forward to demonstrating the positive difference Wilstockhub will make. By capturing and sharing the impact of our work, we will help our partners, supporters and funders understand the lasting social, health and economic value their investment is creating.

Wilstockhub is far more than a building. It is a place where people can connect, learn, volunteer, grow and thrive together. It is a place where opportunities are created, lives are enriched and stronger communities are built—today and for generations to come.
