Wilstock Hub’s Big Lunch – Bringing Our Community Together

Wilstock Hub’s Big Lunch project is all about bringing local people together, strengthening community connections and creating opportunities for neighbours to meet, chat and enjoy time together.

Wilstock is a growing community, and while many of us live just a few doors away from one another, busy lives can sometimes mean we rarely get the chance to properly meet. The Big Lunch aims to change that by providing a relaxed, welcoming event where everyone can come together, whether they have lived in Wilstock for many years or have only recently moved to the area.

The event is designed to be open and inclusive, with individuals, couples and families encouraged to take part. It is an opportunity to enjoy food, conversation and activities while getting to know some of the people who make Wilstock such a vibrant place to live.

But the Big Lunch is about much more than sharing food. Community events like this can help reduce isolation, encourage new friendships and create stronger links between residents. They also provide an opportunity for people to discover local groups, activities, volunteering opportunities and other ways to become involved in community life.

Wilstock Hub hopes the Big Lunch will encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to connect with one another and help develop an even stronger sense of community across Wilstock.

The project is built around a simple idea: communities are stronger when people know their neighbours. By creating a friendly space where people can meet and spend time together, the Big Lunch can help turn neighbours into friends and houses into a community.

Whether you come along for the food, the activities or simply a friendly conversation, everyone is welcome to be part of Wilstock Hub’s Big Lunch.
